harveys, james st, fortitude valley

i once worked for harveys (under previous owners) so to visit sometimes feels strange like i almost need to work not ponder over a coffee and breakfast..... PJ Mcmillan is the chef owner of harveys and also a client of mine.  i love pj's honesty and dedication to good food.  i have eaten breakfast, lunch & dinner there and all times the food has been spot on.  his menus are the type where you can't decide which to have as so much appeals.  when anyone is visiting and wants to know where to go for breakfast i send them to harveys.  i took grandad (my childrens grandad that is) to harveys for his birthday breakfast.  harveys was busy on a rainy friday and filled with nothing but regulars...i recognised many from my days there. the coffee is merlo & good, the breakfast was excellent and the birthday muffin was moist and delicious.  if & when you go you will not be disappointed.  the staff are also very obliging.  harveys oozes style and finesse - thank you pj.
