bbq palace, compton centre, 66 condamine st, runcorn

i received an encouraging email recently from ben stevens regarding my blog.  he gave me a couple of his favourite food places to visit & today we went visiting one of them.  he said that the bbq palace @ runcorn is excellent for lebanese so we punched the address into our navigator & found ourselves there by lunch time.  the place, as ben put it, is nothing too flash...to me, when the food is authentic & delicious I am not phased at all!  we ordered the following:
mixed entree plate consisting of turnip pickles & peppers, kebeh, samousi, felafel & tahini
mixed plate - skewers of chicken tawook, lamb & kofta w hommus, tabouli & garlic
lamb kebab w sauce, salad & pickles
chips & extra lebanese bread
the food was excellent...the felafels outstanding...the kebeh delicious...i loved the pickled turnip & matt said he will drive 30mins for one of their kebabs anyday!  thanks ben great suggestion.

Great restaurant shots! I especially like the one of the wrap with the great depth of field. Beautiful!

It's funny, with all the cuisines around me, Lebanese is one that I rarely go out for. I really love it but somehow it never happens. Love the first shot, so colourful!

It's very easy to find out any topic on net as compared to textbooks, as I found this post at this web site.
