takes a good man to make a good woman...or is it the other way around? either way my sister & my brother in law, rob, are good together! i have known rob for 23 years.....he knew me when i was 13. he has been in the farming business for all his life (+ also was trained as a carpenter - which is very handy for his interior designer wife!). his farm is really almost in the centre of coffs harbour behind the famous "big banana"....he has many hot houses on the farm & has over his years grown bananas + lady fingers, banana bells (sold to the asian mkts), beautiful sweet vine ripened tomatoes + truss cherry tomatoes, crunchy cucumbers, zucchini, watercress, various herbs, avocadoes, kiwi fruit, figs, limes, white sweet potatoes & dragon fruit. i visited his farm recently with my girls & left laden with his gorgeous fruit & vegetables. i am convinced his farm grown produce tastes better than any i have ever bought before!

Looks fabulous. Must be nice to have a b-i-law in the farming business! Kay
We are in fig heaven at the moment...picked straight from the tree just as they are splitting at the base... they are sweet and firm! We love them even when they get riper and more jammy! The trees are netted to protect them from the birds... and woe betide any minor that attempts to steal our precious crop!
oh heaven... would love to go and visit your brother in laws farm one day...
Looks wonderful!
I saw a show on Thai cooking that used banana bells....first they cut the heart finely then soaked them in a brine & then made a thai salad. Looked amazing!
