when we visited hellenika on the coast recently (great greek restaurant) i was inspired by their 7hr cooked lamb.....it was simply served & absolutely delicious. last friday i put a leg of lamb in the slow cooker w 1ltr veg stock, salt, garlic, peppercorns, salt & oregano....i let it cook away for approx 7hrs....i threw in some quartered potatoes 3/4 of the way through & let them absorb the lamb juices (also a tip from hellenika)......then served on a platter with tzatziki.....all very delicious w a mixed leaf salad & washed down w an exceptional lobster bay pinot gris!
