lady marmalade is the type of cafe i could visit often, flick thru the paper, have a coffee, maybe another, order some food, stretch, chat & relax. bec & mal opened 10 weeks ago. coffee is single origin (brazilian) & a private label from melbourne. bec & mal have both been in the food industry for quite a few years & this is obvious in their cafe....well sourced bread, coffee, interiors, passion etc....it all exudes. i mean for example they are serving a sandwich w roast pork, fresh pear, taleggio, green tomato relish & roast tomato!!!! FABULOUS! the majority of the food served is made in house. open 7 days mon-fri7-3pm, sat/sun 7-2pm breakfast & lunch.

Looks like they have a blog up and running now, and with this great review, im sure they'll be getting lots of ex-melbournites in the door. I'm o/s at the moment but good to see brisbanes best new cafes are on the southside Lady Marmalade Cafe
