simon gniot is behind this busy cafe in hendra. he owned the successful sugabar in the brisbane city & sold opening 'black' 8mths ago. he uses di bella, black label coffee. simon has been in the industry for quite a few years with a chef background having worked for mario @ the dining room.....so when you visit he is pulling the coffee & pumping out great food. their signature salad is roast chicken, spinach, apple, dill w a white balsamic vinaigrette $12...deliciously fresh! when i recently visited to take photos the cafe was constantly busy with locals dropping in for their morning fix & simon knew all of them ...it has that casual welcoming vibe that locals love & the coffee is excellent. local art is displayed in the cafe & currently michelle spencer has a collection showing (acrylic on canvas) & i think they are beautiful.
