au cirque cafe is a bit of an institution in new farm owned by christophe & giselle massieu. i used to go often but children soon stopped me being a regular....it is an intimate space downstairs however upstairs there is more room. if you have children/strollers - outside the front of the cafe is the best option (altho if u have calm children go inside). weekends you generally see a crowd waiting for tables - worth the wait tho! breakfast/lunch or catering is their gig and they are licensed. i took my little girls w me for a weekday breakfast - they do GENOVESE! YUM - i am stalking you genovese.... my latte was excellent. the girls shared the bircher muesli which has toasted almonds, a dollop of creamy yoghurt & grated apple on top + a drizzle of honey....no complaints & they love to complain! i enjoyed the scrambled eggs w house made rosti, pan fried spinach & sour dough toast.....i would have it again tomorrow. delicious. also a sml mum thing - i liked how the girls mshakes were put into takeaway cups w a lid.
