picking wild mulberries....a great sign spring is here!

certain things excite me when seasons change....leading up to summer i love to see bowen mangoes avail in stores, cricket on the tv (as a background noise) & the sound of champagne popping is lovely....autumn is beautiful with the leaves changing colour & the days getting shorter & the thought of a sunday night roast is bliss....winter has me loving a big glass of barbera w a slow cooked beef cheek stew & my warm feather-down bed cover....spring is many things to me but one that does stand out is when the mulberries ripen on the trees @ kedron brook.  for the last 2 years my girls & i have picked many handfuls of lovely wild mulberries from the brook & they are sweet & delicious....whilst picking a passerby asked what we plan to do with them & my 4yr old said "eat them w cream!"
