duo deli cafe, 58 thomas drive, chevron island

 

on recommedation by nell we visited duo deli cafe on easter saturday...nell said she goes there weekly & thinks the place is consistently very good.  duo opened 18mths ago by kylie currey & greg harper.  they use piazza doro coffee, offer breakfast, lunch & wines by the glass...+ at the rear of the cafe they have a well researched deli stocking products like ortiz anchovies, colonna evoo, forvm vinegars etc.  their cheese looked well cared for with good prices (considering i saw a deli @ broadbeach selling taleggio @ $139 per kilo - complete joke!!, don't get me started...)

our table of six ordered the following:

several coffees - latte, flat whites...all very good!

granola muesli with fruit & milk

seasonal fruit plate w yoghurt

omelette w fontina & cherry tomatoes

scrambled eggs with smoked salmon

avocado with organic quark, lemon on toasted sour dough

israeli eggs with roasted tomatoes, chilli & spanish onion w a side order of house made potato rosti

we were all very happy with our meals & the service was excellent - thanks nell great suggestion!
