idea caffe, 38 shaw rd, wooloowin

idea caffe is my absolute local when it comes to good coffee.  i have walked there with "pants" (our dog), riden my bike there with my 2 girls slowly in tow & driven there (actually i drive past about 4 times each day)....  serena & stefano (owners) are from italy...i believe florence (such a beautiful city)...& run this busy cafe 6 days a week (closed mondays).  coffee is from coffee guy - local roaster/supplier.  i enjoy a latte usually & its good.  we took our girls there for a mid-week breakfast recently....toasted muesli w greek yoghurt & honey.....banana bread w ricotta & caramelised banana.....& toasted turkish bread w vegemite (of course)....they toast their turkish bread in a sandwich hot press & i like how it flattens - yummy.  dogs are welcome w a water bowl kept @ the front & an easy tie up area.  oh also something worth a mention is their lunch - i once had the toasted turkish w gorgonzola & walnuts....not many places are doing that & it is totally delicious!!!
